Rock River Valley Division NMRA meeting and railroad modeler Meet

Sunday, October 01, 2017, 12:30pm – 04:00pm

Doors open at 12:30 PM and the short business meeting for NMRA members starts at about 1:00 PM.  The NMRA member meeting will be followed by a Meet that is open to all railroad modelers and friends. 

Clinics:  There will be two presentations.  One will be by Tom Maladecki who will do a presentation he calls “The Monday morning crew built a layout for Jim Baker’s grandkids”.  It will include many photos that he took at Jim’s place Monday, August 8, 2016 through Monday, November 14, 2016.  Jim’s friends built a fairly small layout during that period.  Scenery efforts recently restarted on the layout and photos will show that progress.  The other presentation is to be announced.

Contest:  Model scenes up to 2 x 4ft. 
Winners are determined by popular vote.  First prize includes a gift certificate to an area hobby shop.

Layout Tour:  Typically, a self-guided layout tour goes to at least one area layout after the Meet.  Maps showing the layout location(s) will be provided at the Meet
