The Skinny Creek Rail Road Joy Jurs – Owner
Skinny Creek Rail Road is an outdoor G Scale layout forty five feet long and seven feet wide. It is elevated three feet to eliminate back problems while working on it.
The scenery is supposed to be a likeness of Penn. with live miniature trees and miniature flowers and other plantings. It has a small forest and small creek running through it towards a pond near a farm.
I started this layout in 2005. I make all my buildings out of cedar wood, stones, and miniature bricks. My biggest enjoyment is scratch building all things on the R.R. The only thing I do not like is the fact that it is seasonal and all buildings are put away for the winter.
I have a logging train, coal train, cattle train, tanker train, passenger train and ore train. I run diesel and steam. Thank you for looking, Joy M. Jurs
