The railroad is a freelanced design from the west coast to the southwest running primarily Santa Fe, Southern Pacific and Rio Grand with sound in standard and HOn3 narrow gauge motive power.
The railroad runs point to point with provisions for continuous running for an open house.
Mainline – Standard Gauge The mainline is double track with it’s farthest west location of a five track 15 foot long staging yard at Madalynn Bay.
From Madalynn Bay trains proceed to San Megana for a passenger stop at the under city four track location, or for freight service at a variety of industries.
Trains leave San Megana to pass thru and exit scenery at Jakie Creek. JakieCreek has a rural passenger depot and small business switching.
Jakie Creek is also the western connection of the branchline.
Leaving Jakie Creek trains pass over a scratch built double track steel girder trestle and enter scenery.
Trains exit scenery and arrive at Kellina Flats, another passenger stop with small business switching.
Trains leave Kellina Flats to pass thru scenery and proceed to Summit.
Summit is the midpoint of the railroad offering service to a variety of industries including a large packing house, ice house and a four track storage yard. Summit also offers a passenger stop and is the eastern connection of the branchline.
Trains leave Summit and pass by Jamestown that is the standard to narrow gauge interchange point.
Beyond Jamestown trains again pass thru scenery to arrive at Austin, the farthest eastward point.
Austin has freight industry switching, a passenger depot and a large engine service facility with a 132 foot turntable for steam and diesel service. Austin also includes a R.E.A. building, a laundry and a commissary to service passenger cars.
Branchline Branchline trains run eastward into scenery from Jakie Creek to a six track interchange yard at Alexandria. From Alexandria trains run to Darcia and interchange at Summit.
Narrow gauge (HOn3) Narrow gauge trains exit scenery eastbound, above Jakie Creek, thru one of four scratch built, individual board, wood tunnel portals to Diablo Canyon.
Diablo Canyon has a small depot, freight house and two small businesses on a siding. Trains leaving Diablo Canyon pass over a scratch built wood trestle, pass a siding, and into scenery.
Exiting scenery trains proceed to the “Y” at Cassandra valley.
One leg of the “Y” serves a depot, freight house and a siding, the center leg has a siding that serves businesses, and the depot leg continues to a mine siding at Diamond Point.
Cassandra Valley is also adjacent to Giana Pass that has a station stop, stock pens and an oil loading dock, a variety of locations to switch and an engine service area with a turntable. Trains leaving Giana Pass proceed along the cliff wall and enter into scenery.
Exiting the scenery trains follow the center peninsula of the room to interchange at Jamestown with dual gauge trackage. The dual gauge trackage at Jamestown will include service and turning facilities for the narrow and standard gauge trains.
