The Chicago, Memphis & New Orleans is a brand new under construction railroad. It will run from Chicago to New Orleans with about 3 towns in between. One of those towns will be Memphis and will feature a large yard including a hump yard. We are just starting to build the bench work and work will progress as funds become available. At this point, there is no time frame or particular railroad that will run on this layout.
6/20/2014: First phase of the basic bench work is under way. Gone about as far as I can go. More relocating of other things are necessary before all bench work is completed. Next wiring will begin to be added before tops are fasten down.
7/11/2014: First half of planned bench work is complete. Ready to start laying some track as soon as supplies come in. Planning on all hand built turnouts. New photos posted.

It has been awhile since posting an update.
The layout is well on its way. Just about ready to move to an operating railroad. I’ll get some new photos up soon, so keep an eye out !!!
